I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, USA. I attended Bishop Dunne Catholic School for high school. I had a very active childhood and was always involved in sports, music, clubs, and other various extra-curricular activities. During high school I also completed several community service projects. My mother was always the driving force in making sure I was well balanced growing up. Upon completion of high school, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia at age 17 to attend university at Spelman College, which is a well-accredited school. While at Spelman I studied International Studies with a concentration in International Development. While maintaining my studies I also continued my service leadership with various community service projects within my college campus as well as the Atlanta community and internationally including planning and executing Alternative Spring Break volunteer trips. In total I completed over 1,500 volunteer hours in university. After my matriculation at Spelman in 2013, I moved to the United Arab Emirates to start my career.

When I’m not working hard, I like to enjoy life. I like to go to the beach, shop, read, try new restaurants (I am a complete foodie), and most of all travel. I have a passion for exploring new places and I have traveled to 24 countries to date. Because of my studies, I have truly learned to appreciate other cultures and people and traveling has enhanced that admiration. I believe Dubai is the best place for me to be right now. It is a metropolitan city, which I am most comfortable with living but also a melting pot so it is a great place to constantly grow and develop.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

I am a Chartered Certified Accountant born in the beautiful Caribbean Island of Barbados. After graduating from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus with Honours, I worked as an Accountant for two years. I then decided to pursue a career in auditing with a local Big Four Firm working on listed and non-listed engagements. With over 5 years of auditing experience, I accepted the opportunity to migrate to Dubai to enhance her financial career.

I love to travel and experience different cultures and food.

I enjoy giving my time to worthy causes. It all started in June 2008, when I had the opportunity to serve amongst others in Jacmel, Haiti after the earthquake. The community Jacmel has since experienced a huge transformation over the years where families are fed from the communal garden and jobs were created from the skills taught from the teams who served.

Through this experience I  realized seeing poverty first-hand and viewing it on the media are two different dynamics.  The media sensitized me to the world’s harsh realities of poverty; and my visit to the community of Jacmel will impact my view of life and poverty forever. This experience has opened my eyes to the crucial reality of poverty and how it affects the lives of those in lesser-developed regions.

I have subsequently contributed to numerous ongoing charity projects in my home country Barbados and I am honoured to serve on the Village Heart team and see lives transformed in Tanzania and beyond.

Hi, I’m Luke McShine and I am from a tiny island in the Caribbean called Trinidad and Tobago. I am now living in the UAE. I recently graduated from the University of Wollongong in Dubai majoring in Computer Engineering and focusing on network communication.

I am a lover of good food and good times, and hope to spread this philosophy to my friends and colleges wherever I may go. I believe having the opportunity to help The Village Heart is a major highlight for myself, wherein I am able to help others prosper as I have been lucky enough to have been born into.

I was born and raised on the Caribbean islands of Barbados and Jamaica. At the age of 10 I moved to Dubai where I completed my secondary education. I am currently in my third year of the BA in Accounting and Finance at Heriot Watt University.

In my free type I play the piano in a reggae band, and learn to play the bass guitar. I have joined The Village Heart team as I feel that it is unacceptable that in the 21st century there are people without relatively easy access to clean safe water. I am honoured to be working with The Village Heart team as I believe that their vision and goal is one which provides solutions and takes action to meet this challenge.

I was born and raised in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago. I moved to Dubai in 2008 and had been in an international school with students from all over the globe. Now, I am currently completing a BA in Business Management at Heriot-Watt University in Dubai.

Aside from my studying, I am a musician. I play the steelpan which is the national instrument of my country. I am honored and blessed to be a part of the Village Heart because it gives me the opportunity to use my blessings to help others. I hope to improve the lives of as many people as possible as well as spread the message of our cause as wide as possible.

I was born in Miami, Florida to Jamaican parents and raised in Dubai. From a young age, I have been traveling all over the world and have had the opportunity to experience different cultures and gain an understanding and appreciation for the way other people live. I go to an IB school where I am involved in many extra-curricular activities and sports teams.

I have a passion for helping those who are less fortunate and I feel that service is one of the most rewarding activities you could do. Since the age of 8 I have been involved in charity work/projects in various countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Kenya. Being apart of The Village Heart is an amazing way for me to positively impact the lives of others and improve their quality of life.
