Mikere Primary school is now enjoying a clean and safe water from the deep Solar water well constructed by African Reflections Foundationin collaboration with Drilling For Hope.
While celebrating the launching of the well at Mikere Primary School, Njia Nne ward, in Mkuranga district; the District Commissioner (DC) of Mkuranga, Hon. Filberto Sanga said that the well has now solved a long time crisis, of water to the school and the village.
The ARF Founder, Maryvonne Pool addressed residents of Mikere village, showing her appreciation to the DC office for the continued support by fulfilling her dream of more than 13 years.
“ I have been in Tanzania for 34 years, and one day I had a dream, envisioned to help the rural community. Since that day, 13 years have passed and I have built more than 100 solar water wells” Added Hon. Pool.
On her Speech, ARF CEO, Hon. Mercy Silla ended with a word that insisted villagers to secure and preserve clean drinking water for all community, especially Women and Children.
The opening was attended by distinguished guests including Ms. Karen Flewelling of Drilling For Hope from USA, an ARF sponsor for the first two wells at Mikere Primary School and Mkiu Secondary School which adds to her 100th well worldwide.
The opening made the youngest contributor, Ariana Kotecha to become the youngest member of African Reflection Foundation as The Village Heart Kids’ water ambassador.
She donated 550 water cans to kids at Mikere Primary School in Njia Nne Village Mkuranga District.
