SAJIDA MAMDAN

JEAN DOBBS
Jean, also known as “Mama Jean” in Tanzania, is the co-founder of ARF. She was approached by Maryvonne in 2004 to work closely with ARF. Initially, she was hesitant to join because she doubted the validity of the foundation. After a few months of uncertainty, she decided to visit Tanzania for herself. Since her first visit, she has been fully committed to the foundation. She raises funds and sheds light to the devastating reality that there are millions of people worldwide, particularly in Tanzania who lack water to the people of Albany, New York as well as across the United States. She does site visits twice a year to Tanzania and monitors funding. Before her retirement, Jean was the Director for Shelters for the Catholic Missions for many years.
